Filled with excitement the whole family can enjoy, Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect, “Justified”) and Grant Bowler (“Defiance”)headline the enduring feature, Zoey to the Max, arriving on DVD and Digital HD February 24 from Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) and Brand Inc.
Also starring newcomer Cassidy Mack (Chilly Christmas), the charming, coming of age story follows a foster child who loses her new family’s show dog and embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to return him safely home.
Zoey to the Max is particularly dear to Cassidy’s heart as she spent her early years in the foster care system just like her character, Zoey. She started the non-profit foundation, Love Gives Chances, to inspire all children and adults who are currently living in, have been adopted from or have aged out of the Foster Care System and encourages them to not lose hope. For every supporter pendant purchased through the charity, Cassidy sends a survivor pendant to a foster yourh or former foster youth who needs to feel empowered.
“With a strong circle of love and support surrounding you, the heart is protected and full, and the tree of life attaches its roots and has the opportunity to grow stronger and fuller. Empower yourself,” says Mack.
Zoey, a thirteen year old foster child, watches helplessly as her new family’s dog Max gets stolen while she’s in charge! The criminals, a pair of Home Alone-Like thugs are after Max because he’s become an infamous show dog. Zoey, with the help of her new techy friend, set out across the desert in order to track down Max and save the relationship with her new foster family. Faced with this new challenge, Zoey must dig in and fight for the life she’s always wanted, undergoing sudden personal growth in the process.
This movie was a cute movie. BC liked it the most out of all of the kids. The movie is about a foster child named Zoey, who accidentally finds her forever family. Two thugs steal the family’s dog Max while Zoey is watching him. Zoey goes on an adventure with one of her new best friends to help find Max and makes things right with her new family.
This is an adventure filled family movie. Some of the acting for myself and C was a little overdone, but overall was a good story line and concept. I would recommend this movie to parents that have children around the ages 6 to 13.

Sounds like something a family could enjoy together.
Awe. This sounds like a nice story line. I hope they were able to find Max!!
This sounds like such a neat movie. I definitely need to watch it!
I’m all about foster and adopt storylines. 🙂 This sounds cute. I love it with they make good family movies.
This sounds like a great movie for the whole family with a lovely story line. Sounds like the perfect thing for a night cuddled up on the couch watching together.
My daughter loves any movie or TV show with a dog, so I’m sure she’d love this. And as someone that was adopted as an infant, a story about finding a forever family is something I’d be interested in watching.
