If you’ve been reading then you know that I’ve been doing some tests with new Wisk With Stain Spectrum Technology. This week I was asked to perform one final test.
For ladies (and for the ladies men, I guess – collars and all that, LOL), a common oil stain we have to battle is lip gloss. I myself love lip gloss, it’s so much better than lipstick. When I started wearing it many years ago I thought that it wouldn’t leave a stain because it wasn’t lipstick. Wrong. I myself am a living, breathing stain magnet. If I’m wearing white it’s a guarantee that I’ll have a new stain before the day ends. If I’m eating something red, chances are excellent I’ll also be wearing red before the meal is over. Lip gloss is the one item I wear almost daily. I have a bucket (yes, an actual bucket) of it in the bathroom. Today’s test involved lip gloss, a common oil stain. So you can see why testing Wisk on a lip gloss stain was right up my alley. Other common oil stains you may be familiar with include peanut butter, olive oil, salad dressing and ranch dressing.
For this challenge I received a bottle of Wisk With Stain Spectrum Technology, a pretty new hand towel, a cosmetics bag, a compact mirror and a lip gloss.

Isn’t this towel pretty? It arrived new and you know how nice new towels are. They’re so clean and the white is so white, right?

Step 1. Apply lip gloss. (I look a mess, sorry.)

Step 2. Blot excess lip gloss on the new towel. After doing this I felt the stain. It was sort of smeared and really in there.

Step 3. Pre-treat the stain with Wisk.

Step 4. Rub the stain for 15 to 30 seconds.

Step 5. Rinse the stain until there are no suds visible.  I did this and was pleased to see that the lip gloss was no longer on my towel, just on my lips.
