Three of the four of us have iPod Touches. For the past week, CJ has been reaching into my purse when I’m not looking and taking my iPod out. I caught him with the two iPods the other day. At first this didn’t really make sense because what’s on his iPod is on my iPod, because originally he just used mine. I mean, our iPods are almost identical, literally – our clock minutes are two minutes apart and we have different backdrops. That’s it. So. The other day I found out what he was doing. He gets both iPods playing the same thing at the same time and turns them both up. He’s creating his own little stereo of sorts, I guess. It’s ironic, because just within the past few weeks I told RB that I thought it was time for CJ to have something in his room where he could play his music without having to listen through headphones. So now I’m on a quest. I’m looking for an iPod dock with speakers that has decent sound quality and is easy to use. Oh one more thing, it needs to be affordable. I think things would be less complicated if there was no alarm clock built in but I wouldn’t necessarily rule one out just because it had one. I’d also prefer it not have a CD player in it, as all of CJ’s music is digital and I’d prefer to limit the number of things that can be broken. So. Have any suggestions for me? Who makes an affordable iPod speaker dock suitable for children?

I had one recently given to me until my 26 year old son borrowed it–children. what is ours becomes theirs!
Now that is funny, creating his own stereo 🙂 sorry can’t help you out on the dock, around here the 2 teen grandkids have an ipod touch, seems they go thru a lot of ear plugs.
I thought it was funny too. And completely unexpected.
