Today I stopped in Walmart on my way home to see if they had any pants for my younger son in stock. For the second time this week I saw not only Halloween merchandise, but Christmas merchandise as well. I realized with Halloween being next month that means Thanksgiving is 2 months away. I always host Thanksgiving dinner for my family. On the day after Thanksgiving I like to go to the cemetary with my Mom to visit my Grandma’s grave. I haven’t been courageous enough to brave Black Friday crowds in many years. Around here people line up really early, sometimes the night before. And then they push and shove and fight over whatever it is they’re trying to get. Today I learned of the site black-friday.net. This site has pages for stores that have Black Friday specials. And to my surprise, some of them already show what’s going to be on sale! Finally a way to save money and take advantage of the Black Friday specials without getting up in the middle of the night. The site even offers an email mailing list you can subscribe to when new ads are posted on the site. I’m looking forward to seeing what new stores have ads added. Right now I’ve already scoped out the Best Buy ad looking for video cameras and laptops. I looked at the Kohls page and discovered the coffeepot I have now will be on sale for$40. I’ll have to round up my oldest son’s birthday and Christmas lists tomorrow and see if anythings on this site.
