Day Out With Thomas 2011 Tour
I am looking forward to this weekend, we’re going on a much needed mini family getaway. I’m excited but I know that my youngest is going to be ecstatic when he discovers our plans. See, we’re going to the Lancaster area of Pennsylvania. That’s a big deal because that’s the home of The Strasburg Railroad. My son CJ loves trains. He’d be happy to visit the railroad anytime, but he’ll be especially happy because the Day Out With Thomas 2011 tour is kicking off it’s Lancaster segment this week.
Thomas is my son CJ’s favorite thing in the world. A Day Out With Thomas is a family event that offers children and their grownups the opportunity to ride with classic storybook friend Thomas the Tank Engineā„¢ at heritage railroads nationwide. The events also includes a variety of Thomas & Friends themed entertainment, including Storytelling and Video Viewing, Temporary Tattoos of Island of Sodor friends, an Imagination Station and more.
The Day Out With Thomas tour grows year after year, adding new stops and activities. During its 16th consecutive year, Day Out With Thomas will make stops in more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada and is expected to welcome more than one million passengers. This year the tour is called the Leader of the Track Tour 2011. Tickets are on sale now. Be sure to buy tickets for the stop in your area early because they do sell out.

  1. We went there on the 23rd!!! My kids loved it, but I couldn’t get over how crowded it was!!! We had our tickets at the Will Call office and fortunately they were really good to us. We showed up an hour late due to traffic and parking and they honored our tickets. A great time. I love that area.
