A couple of weeks ago I shared new Verizon FiOS® new Custom TV with you. Today I want to share a couple of fun ideas on how to make the most of entertaining with these packages.
For those that may have missed it or just don’t recall, Verizon FiOS ® Custom TV starts with a base package (priced at $54.99) containing local broadcast channels, 36 pre-selected channels, and at least two Channel Packs (priced at $10 each). A Channel Pack is a group of channels of a similar nature. The seven Channel Packs currently available include Lifestyle, Entertainment, News & Info, Pop Culture, Kids, Sports, and Sports Plus.
The Kids channel pack contains all of the channels young kids today love. It’s got my son’s favorite channels, the only ones he’s allowed to watch in his room.
This is one scene you might encounter if you came to my home. My son loves to make a little fort (or tent) in his room. You can count on my son dragging out all of his appropriate toys while he watches tv. So, if he’s watching Thomas on Sprout the Thomas trains come out. If he’s watching Chuggington on Disney Jr then Chuggington trains come out. And of course, none of this is complete without a snack. Popcorn is a safe choice for him and he loves it.
We’re definitely not big on fancy entertaining around here. We like to chill out, literally. In the summer we’ll cook on the grill in order to not heat up the kitchen. Then when the day or evening air becomes too hot or too humid we head inside to the living room. As often is the case with groups of friends, the conversation turns to things we have in common. Favorite forms of entertainment including tv and movie are not unusual for us to discuss. And neither is money. Verizon FiOS ® Custom TV presents a one-of-a-kind opportunity – customized tv. It allows customers to get exactly the channels they want, which means they’re paying for what they want.
The Lifestyle and Entertainment channel packs are another must for our home. It contains lots of channels that offer great movies for friendly get-togethers, and even some binge watching. And during the summer, there is no better binge-worthy snack than ice cream. Right? I grab a bunch of ice cream from the freezer and let everyone have at it while we settle in for some tv. No muss, no fuss, and only a few wrappers to clean up. The less cleaning up I do the more time I have to spend with my family and friends.

I’ve had FIOS for years. I love it!
My son would go nuts over all the kids channels. We have an Apple TV and cartoons are somewhat lacking when compared to everything that available.
Fios sounds amazing! I love being able to fully customize my viewing experience. I’ve got to check this out.
We have been anxiously awaiting FIOS to arrive to our city but it still has yet to make its debut. I could literally survive with the Lifestyle pack alone!
This sounds great! I would love to have this. The Hallmark Channel and Lifetime are two of my favorite channels. My girls love to watch Disney and Nickelodeon!

My kids would have loved the kids programs and the nature channels. A custom set of channels would be awesome.

Wow, I have never heard of Fios before! We don’t watch much television, so the basic package would probably fit us just fine!
I made forts as a kid too! I can’t wait until mine are old enough to make forts out of the couch cushions!
We love Verizon Fios!! We do the same in the summer time, its fun to cool off as a family. Love the idea of adding ice cream to the mix.

My kids really enjoy family time in the form of tons of junk food from the store and a movie at home. I have never heard of FIOS though.
