We love all things Disney, so I was thrilled to receive an advance copy of The Ultimate Disney Party Book to review with my daughter, Serenity. At three years old, every day is a good day for a party, and we had a blast exclaiming and dreaming over all of the awesome ideas in this book!
With 8 fantastic Disney party themes, and more than 65 recipes and craft ideas, The Ultimate Disney Party Book is brim-full and overflowing with Disney creativity and delight! From Toy Story to Disney Princess, every child (and adult) can find something to love. Themes include: Aladdin, Disney Princess, Toy Story, Mickey and Minnie, Monsters Inc, Wreck-It-Ralph, Planes, and Captain Hook, and each themed section of the book contains ideas for crafts, recipes, and games.

Our personal favorite was Monsters Inc. theme. Serenity’s uncle gave her a giant Sully doll for her first Christmas, and she adores him! She was very excited about all of the fun treats, crafts, and activities in that section of the book, especially the Mike Wazowski Spoon Puppets. Too cute!!


We also loved the Toy Story theme, and as soon as she saw them, Serenity insisted we make the Cheezy Wheezys penguin snack…
The original recipe calls for mozzarella balls, but I made a mistake at the store and thought it said cream cheese. Mozzarella would make for a cleaner, smoother finish, but the chive cream cheese we used was delicious! We used large, pitted black olives to form the body of each penguin, about a teaspoon of cream cheese for the tuxedo shirt, and we topped them off with tiny pimento wedges to form red bow ties. I will say that they don’t stand up on their own very well, tending to roll around, but a tiny sliver off the back to create a flat surface solves this problem.
We love The Ultimate Disney Party Book, and highly recommend it to any Disney lover aiming to have a good time easily and creatively! The book is available for purchase on Amazon.
