We have camped with our 6 kids since they were very young. Now they are mostly all grown up and the older ones are married. Our youngest is now a senior in high school! We have made a yearly camping trip a tradition where everyone comes and camps out in late summer or early fall. This hammock is a dream for camping enthusiasts like us! It is made of lightweight parachute material and comes in its own pouch. It hardly takes up any room, which is great for trips where you need to take a lot of things, like camping, and space is limited. It would also be perfect for backpacking trips for the same reason.
The hammock comes with 2 non corrosive caribiners that are attached to a strong cord to hang it from. Once you unfold the hammock from its pouch, (the pouch is attached) you can use the pouch to hold a water bottle, keys or your glasses if you want to take a nap. This hammock holds 2 or 3 people up to 400 pounds! It folds back inti its pouch very easily, too.
We put ours on our front porch to try it out before our camping trip. My son in law tested it out and read some books while reclining comfortably. It was super easy to set up and take down.
