Tria Age Defying Laser
Last night we had my parents over for dinner. My mom is always one to tell you what is on her mind and often times the conversation goes to how I’m aging before her eyes. I admit it bothers me sometimes but I get it, I am aging. I’m almost 40 and I have the signs of a lifetime of laughter and sunshine. When I put it like that, it’s not that bad. However, I also admit, I’m going to fight the aesthetics of what is happening to my skin every step of the way.
So when I was given the opportunity to try the Tria Age-Defying Laser provided by Tria Beauty, I jumped at the chance.

Created by Tria in collaboration with dermatologists and plastic surgeons, the Age-Defying Laser uses the exact same technology as professional in-office treatments (clinically known as “fractional non-ablative laser treatments”).
Targeted beams of light work below the skin’s surface to accelerate collagen and elastin production for visibly younger and more radiant skin. It’s safe, effective and easy to use, and results are superior to any existing cream or serum.

I had read reviews online that people LOVED it and were seeing fantastic results in the first couple of weeks and even great results in subsequent weeks. Here is my review after using the device for 2.5 weeks.
The Tria Age Defying Laser comes in a kit that includes:

  • Tria Age Defying Laser
  • Priming Cleanser
  • Finishing Serum
  • Super C Brightening Moisturizer

My favorite part of my nightly routine is using the Priming Cleanser. The Tria Priming Cleanser has a cool, minty smell and feel and it does an excellent job cleansing my face.
I have very sensitive skin so I used the recommendation to increase the treatment level by week (week 1 – use at level 1, week 2 – level 2, week 3 – level 3). Week 1, the treatment lasted about 2 minutes, week 2 about 4 minutes and week 3 about 6 minutes. Every night, I’d sit down and sweep the device across my face, one zone at a time until the Tria Laser beeped at me to switch zones. With each level of intensity I felt the ‘tinging’ sensation increase, as a result I’d recommend watching a sitcom while you use the Tria Age Defying Laser to take your mind off of of the laser working.
Following the treatment my face was red and stinging, so I would quickly add the Finishing Serum to help cool my face back down.
By morning, my face did not exhibit any redness.

Looking at my before and after pictures (above), I have not seen a visible improvement in my fine lines or my skin tone. My mom actually commented that my skin is looking better last night. I personally can say I haven’t noticed a difference but my mom has and she wants to borrow the Tria Age Defying Laser.
While I didn’t see a significant change by 2.5 weeks, my mom did; so I’m going to keep it up for another 2.5 weeks and see what happens. Stay tuned for a 5 week review.
Here’s a brief video explaining how the Tria Age Defying Laser works in a little more detail.
