REVIEW – Thunder And The House Of Magic DVD

Thunder And The House Of Magic is the story of Thunder, an abandoned young cat who stumbles into a magical old mansion operated by a dazzling array of automatons and gizmos. Owned by a retired magician, the house is occupied by an assortment of his wacky assistants who don’t all welcome the new houseguest. But when the magician lands in the hospital and his scheming nephew puts the mansion up for sale, our young hero and his new friends join forces to save their magical home.
The Thunder And The House Of Magic is written by James Flynn, Domonic Paris and Ben Stassen, based on an original story idea from Ben Stassen. The film is produced by Caroline Van Iseghem and Ben Stassen, executive produced by Olivier Courson and Eric Dillens, and features original music by Ramin Djawadi. The film features the music by Selena Gomez.
CJ and I watched this together from start to finish. Thunder, the main character of the movie, is a little kitten who accidentally found himself homeless. Wandering the streets and seeking shelter in a storm he winds up at a scary house belonging to an elderly magician. The magician has an old and cantankerous rabbit that doesn’t want Thunder to stay. He and the mouse work hard to try and make sure Thunder doesn’t stick around. In the end, they all have to learn to get along and work together for the sake of the magician and their home, or both will be lost. The movie has a good bit of humor. I love to laugh and thought it was great that the storyline had parts that were funny both to me and to my son. The animation, graphics and cast of characters are fantastic! There’s even some action mixed in, but to see what I mean you’ll have to watch for yourself! Until then, here’s the trailer.
