Spring is finally here, and summer isn’t far behind it. We’ve already had some days where it’s been over 80 degrees out. Whether it be in the park, on the softball field or on the beach, we parents know how important it is for our kids to stay hydrated when the temps rise. A T-Rex Rolling Cooler such as the one I recently received is the perfect solution to keeping everyone hydrated and so much more.
Highly praised by America’s Test Kitchen, the T-Rex Rolling Cooler is named as such because of it’s enormous size. With a large double-wall insulated main compartment able to hold a quantity of 62 to 70 12oz cans, the T-Rex is a must for today’s busy family lifestyle. Resting atop a set of sturdy wheels, this foldable cooler measures 40.5″ H from the top of the handle to the bottom of the cooler.Inside there is a removable, zippered leak proof inner liner, and a removable floor board.
I shop at a warehouse club once every week to two weeks. If you’ve ever shopped at one, you know that they don’t have bags. I do have a couple of reusable bags in the car, but they don’t do anything to help keep cold items cold. I loved having the T-Rex with me for shopping there. Not only did it hold my cold items, it even held a good number of my dry items. So, instead of making several trips into the house I only had to make one. I found that all of my cold items were still cold. On a warm day this is super important to me, particularly with meats and cheeses. I don’t know if you’ve ever bought sliced cheese at the deli on a warm day, only to have it stick together on the drive home because it was too hot. I have and it makes the cheese icky and difficult to work with. With the T-Rex everything was just a fresh when I got it home as when I’d bought it.
The large wheels and telescoping aluminum handle make rolling the cooler very easy. Once you have reached your destination the handle releases with the push of a button. You can reach the contents of the bad quickly through the each access pocket on the lid, which is secured in place by velcro.
The outside of the cooler has a large front zippered pocket and a smaller open pocket. The bag comes with a removable/adjustable shoulder strap plus padded carry handles. Once you’re finished with the cooler you simply fold it up for easy storage.
This cooler is a must-have for busy parents. It will be invaluable. I was able to think of at least 15 different reasons you’d want to have a T-Rex Large Rolling Cooler.

With summer struggling to make an appearance we’ve started planning what we’ll be doing. Our summers involve a lot of park play and picnics. A rolling cooler would be so much easier than having to always carry a cooler wherever we go.
I would use mine when I grocery shop for the refrigerated items.
