I’m not sure how many of you know that my Mom is scheduled to have the same surgery that I did – Lap Band surgery. I just got off of the phone with my Dad. They were leaving the hospital, where she’d just completed her pre-op testing. They did the same tests on her that they did on me – blood work, ekg and chest xray. Like me, she’d also had an ekg but they wanted a more recent one. She hadn’t previously had a chest xray (taken to rule out pneumonia and other pulmonary diseases and cancers). She then saw the surgeon and the nutritionist for the last time before surgery. I bet she has a terrific dinner tonight, because she starts her pre-surgical diet tomorrow, which she’ll be on for one week.

Sounds like you 2 will be excellent support for each other. I keep thinking about you, and I’m glad you’re surgery has been a success. I’m sure it can’t be easy to go through such a tough life changing surgery.
