I have watched ABC soaps since I was a teenager. I love them and never miss an episode. I have my DVR set to record from 1 pm to 4 pm. If there is any sign of a preemption more than a few seconds long I DVR the episode from SoapNet that night, so I don’t miss anything. I was ecstatic when I recently learned that I had been selected as an official correspondent for One Life To Live. Whoohoo!
Including myself, there are five One Life To Live Blog Correspondents all together. The other correspondents are
- Amanda from Mommy Mandy
- Jennifer from The Dirty t-Shirt
- Laurie from Guessing All The Way
- Lee from My Sentiment Exactlee

If you watch One Life To Live, or just the ABC channel in general, you may have seen the commercial for the upcoming One Life To Live musical event. One Life To Live has frequently featured music in it’s story lines. Snoop Dogg is a character that pops into Llanview from time to time. Other musical guests have included Mary J. Blige, Lifehouse, Nelly Furtado, Pussycat Dolls and Puddle Of Mudd, to name but a few. One Live to Live Starr X’d Lovers: The Musical will be a three day television event blending original songs and covers of popular songs with existing storylines and characters. The last One Life To Live Musical event was Prom Night, back in 2007, when Starr and Cole were overcoming obstacles to be together and Markko and Langston had their first date. I can’t wait to see what happens this year. Starr and Cole are already finding themselves tested, what with Cole being charged with attempted murder of Starr’s father Todd. Langston and Markko’s relationship is already hanging by a thread, as Langston has been cheating on Markko with Ford, his teacher’s assistant.

Here’s a clip from the event.
I’ll have the opportunity to ask Kristen Alderson, the actress who plays Starr, some questions on a conference call this week. Anything you’d like to know?
I hope you’ll tune in for One Life To Live’s Starr X’d Lovers: The Musical along with me and the other Blog Correspondents for the fun beginning on Friday May 14! I’d love to chat with you about your thoughts on the event and the show.
I was given financial compensation from ABC Daytime to write this post. My reviews and recommendations are always my own and represent my genuinely held opinions.

I’d like to see Bo and Nora rock again together. Them wih Little Richard was a blast.
I can’t think of a specific question, but WOW, what an amazing oppurtunity!!
Yes it really is. The conference call was a lot of fun, Kristen was totally sweet. She answered all of our questions and seemed very down to earth.
Very fun! I’ve never watched this program before – I didn’t know they had musical episodes too.
Yes, the last one was in 2007. It was lots of fun.

I think when ABC does these kinds of things it’s great. I love watching soaps be even sillier than they already are
They do a great job of keeping things fun and light, even when working with existing storylines that are a bit darker.
I was wondering if you knew all the songs that were featured in the musical, and if theres going to be a cd that features all the songs becasue i dont just want to download all the original songs i want them as the actors and actresses sung them
Yes, the songs are all listed on the album at itunes – http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/starr-xd-lovers-the-musical/id371215100
