There’s something so exciting about fun holiday events. And being present for the first day of anything is a special treat. Over this past weekend we were lucky enough to be able to attend the opening day of It’s A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place!
Sesame Place is in Langhorn, PA, which is inside of Bucks County. We’d never been there before, and were pleased to find out it was much closer then I thought it was. It’s approximately an hour away from us, and is within a reasonable driving distance from portions of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Ohio. The park itself It’s A Very Furry Christmas is open on select dates from November 23 to December 31. The park is filled with holiday decorations and lights, music, lights. Dry rides are open if weather permits. There are even special holiday shows, attractions and events.
SHOWS

• Elmo’s World Live! Happy Holidays Show – Elmo is trying to think of the perfect Christmas gift to give his best friend Dorothy!
• A Sesame Street Christmas Show – Growing up in Fairyside, Queens Abby is not familiar with the celebrations and traditions of the Christmas season.
• Elmo’s Christmas Wish Show – Elmo, Cookie, Grover, Zoe and Rosita sing and dance about their favorite holiday, and talk about what each of them wants for Christmas.
• Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade – Everyone’s favorite “Neighborhood Street Party” parade gets into the Christmas spirit with a Christmas stop.
• 1-2-3 Christmas Tree! Show – Enjoy a spectacular music and light show, featuring a giant Christmas tree that lights up the night.

ATTRACTIONS

• Christmas Light Display – Sesame Place has been transformed into a Holiday Light Spectacular.
• Christmas Storytime with Zoe – Enjoy a Christmas story with Zoe in Mr. Hooper’s Emporium.
• Santa’s Furry Workshop – Trader Bert’s has been transformed into Santa’s Workshop!
• Sesame Place Furry Express – Hop aboard our Sesame Place Furry Express and celebrate A Very Furry Christmas with us!

EVENTS

• Imagination Movers – Don’t miss the Imagination Movers’ “Reindeer Party” at Sesame Place!
• Choo-Choo Soul “With Genevieve!” – Follow the musical adventures of Disney Jr.’s hip-hop singer, train station manager Genevieve Goings and her dancing, beatboxing engineer DC.
• Christmas Dine with Elmo, Big Bird & Friends – You’ll enjoy a family-pleasing buffet served up with special appearances by Elmo and his Sesame Street friends.
• Milk & Cookies – What’s even better is JOINING Santa for Milk and Cookies!
• The Count’s Countdown to New Year’s Celebration – Join the Count and all of his furry friends as they count down to the New Year!
• New Year’s Eve Fireworks – Ring in the New Year with Fireworks with your Sesame Street Friends!

We had lots of fun in the park riding the rides and just having good old family fun time together. We were able to catch up to many of everyone’s favorite Sesame Street characters.







And to close out the day we caught the holiday parade!

We left for home after the parade, tired and chilly but with smiles on our faces. We’re already discussing returning in the spring, so we can check out the rest of the park.
