This is a sponsored post through the Social Media Chicks influencer network. I am a Sears Holding Corporation blogger, though all opinions are my own.
How do you feel about your furniture? I like ours, but it’s completely shot. We got this set from a friend of the family about five years ago. It was in awesome shape and was super comfy. It’s not in the most awesome shape anymore. Time does that in our house. Plus, we’re hard on our furniture. One piece has threads starting to pull. The big couch is no longer as comfortable to sit in because you sink in and can’t get comfortable. Basically, our living room is overdue for an upgrade.
I remember back in the day, you had to buy whole sets of furniture together. You probably know what I’m talking about, this was back in the stone age. I kid. I’m referring to the early to mid 80s. Everything was so coordinated back then. These days things look much fresher and much more colorful. Sets don’t have to all be the same pattern, or even the same color anymore. Sears’ Furniture Collection gives people the ability to mix and match pieces from each collection to suit your taste. Don’t worry, if you’re really sold on the matching look they have them too!
Is your home decor dull? Here are some tips from Sears to help you refresh your space.
- Find color inspiration from a favorite wall color or painting. This will be the focus of your design choices
- When shopping for the living room, don’t overstuff the room. Plan for ample walking room between furniture pieces
- Tie the room together with matching pillows, a rug and other accessories
Food for thought. You can upgrade your room in small payments using FREE Sears Layaway (no service fee) through 3/24, valid on new Layaway contracts only.
I can’t wait until the day that we can get some new living room furniture.
We just bought a brand new living room set after our beat up furniture just started falling apart. I never even thought to check Sears, but I will next year.
As my kids get older, we start making the house more “adult”, so we definitely need new furniture! It would be nice to have a lot of comfortable places for people to sit.
I love the decor and the sets! We love Sears here!
I would love to update my bedroom set. I’ll check Sears out to see what they have.
I need a couch so badly and I never thought about Sears. I’m definitely going to consider them now!
grEven with a formal parlor and den, we have gone through several sets over the years–matched green and gold brocade, patterned crushed velvet, royal blue velvet, green modern beore the current tan and brown one usually but not always recycling used to the den. Our leather pieces for den lasted best. BUT you get what you pay for and cheap furniture doesn’t last or wear well.
Sears is quite a drive cor me, but I always like to stop there when I can. I would like to get some new living room furniture.
