The summer travel season is almost here. Schools will be letting out shortly and families will be spending longer amounts of time in their car for day trips, regional travel and road trips. Today I’m sharing some road trip essentials for kids. These items make the time in the car more comfortable and more enjoyable, making it less likely you hear “are we there yet” and “there’s nothing to do”.

Even though these book are intended for students I was impressed by the big, boldly colored pages that are full of detail and activity. Not only does these books keep you busy looking for things, they also teach you things about the scenes depicted.

Squishmallows

Kids like to cuddle things, and play with their plush friends. I still have some of my stuffed animals from when I was in my early teens.
