SYNOPSIS
THE INCREDIBLES follows the adventures of a family of former superheroes who are rediscovering the true source of their powers—in one another. Once one of the world’s top masked crime fighters, Bob Parr (a.k.a. Mr. Incredible) fought evil and saved lives on a daily basis. But 15 years later, he and his wife Helen (the former Elastigirl) have been forced to take on civilian identities and retreat to the suburbs. Today they, and all superheroes, live as mere mortals. Bob and Helen lead all- too-ordinary lives with their children, Violet and Dashiell “Dash” Parr, who go out of their way to appear “normal,” and new baby Jack-Jack As a clock-punching insurance man, the only thing Bob fights these days is boredom and a bulging waistline. Itching for action, the sidelined superhero gets his chance when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote island for a top-secret assignment. Now, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance, the family must come together and once again find the fantastic in their family life.

MY THOUGHTS
I received a copy of the (Four-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy). I saw the movie The Incredibles in the theater when it fist came out. My memory is a little fuzzy, and my kids hadn’t seen it so I was happy to receive the opportunity to check out the movie as it was released onto DVD and Blu-ray. As soon as the movie got about ten minutes in it all came back to me. Once again I felt badly for all of the unappreciated, cast aside heroes, and then Bob (Mr Incredible), so unhappy with his average guy life fifteen years later even though he married Helen (Elastigirl) and had three healthy children (Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack). Who could blame Bob for visiting an island after receiving an invitation from the mysterious Mirage? I had to laugh as Mr Incredible realized he was out of shape and started working out. He finally got into good shape and got a new supersuit, just in time to return to the island and accept a secret assignment handed down by an unknown employer. When the remote locator hidden in his suit goes off it triggers big trouble, not just for Bob but his entire family and the world. I love the family teamwork that comes together to fight the bad guy, Syndrome.
The bonus features are interesting. One of my favorites is Jack-Jack Attack, which is the best look at the vast array of Jack-Jack’s previously hidden superhero talents. My other favorite is The New Nomanisan Island Redevelopment Plan tour of the Island, I thought it was funny. It was really nice to hear the directors and animators discuss their feelings about working on the movie, as well as express their gratitude to all cast and crew members.
This movie is a must have for any Disney movie collector or anyone that enjoys animated movies.
