REVIEW – Sterling Publishing Animals Everywhere, Flip Dolls and Other Toys

Animals Everywhere: A Pop-Up Adventure
Written by Yvonne Deutch, Illustrated by Jonathan Woodward
This book, recommended for ages 4+, takes kids on a magical adventure where the animals they’re fascinated by come alive on the pages. On the very first set of pages, a very hungry Great White Shark pops off the page, while colorful illustrations of other types of sharks swim around him. Not all pages feature pop-up animals, but instead feature the beautiful illustrations of Jonathan Woodward with the names of the animals by them, offering some educational information for little ones. This book is sure to fascinate young readers while giving them life-like illustrations and pop-outs of the animals they love most.

Flip Dolls & Other Toys That Zip, Stack, Hide, Grab & Go
Written by Laura Wilson
This crafting book is one of the most unique I’ve seen, and perfect for creating some of the most adorable toys and house decorations. Though I would say you need a decent amount of sewing knowledge to create most of the items, Wilson does a good job explaining the basic items you will need to create as well as some basic techniques she uses for the toys. These creations can be the perfect gift for kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews, etc. if you’re looking to make special gifts with a personal touch.
