Portable North Pole
The Portable North Pole console allows families to create, view and download personalized video messages from Santa Claus, along with other customized gifts, to send to their children or loved ones for the holidays. What better way to kick off the season than with a fun, fully-personalized experience for kids and young-at-heart adults all around the world. Other gifts include phone calls from Santa, puzzles, personalized books, ringtones, etc. Calls and videos are $3.99 each.
MY THOUGHTS
I was given the opportunity to create a customized video and call through PNP. Both were equally as cute and fun and easy to customize. To create them, you are asked a series of questions, such as your child’s name and age, if he attends school, what he is asking for for Christmas, and how his behavior has been. The best thing about this process was that PNP really makes sure it has the pronunciation of your child’s name correct by giving you several examples of how it might pronounce it and allowing you to pick the correct pronunciation. Given that my daughter’s name is not a common one, people often pronounce it incorrectly. I was so happy to see that it would pronounce her name correctly to make the video and call seem even more realistic.
The call is a minute or so long, and Santa mentions the child’s behavior that you picked out. He either praises the child for his or her good behavior or suggests that the behavior improves, depending on what you picked when setting up the call. You also have the option of picking out a congratulations call, birthday call, or encouragement call rather than a Christmas-themed call.
The video was magical, even for me. I love that my daughter’s name was added to the “book” Santa uses for each child every year. When she saw her name, her eyes lit up. Another surprise came next, when a photo of her showed up inside the book with a message underneath telling Santa she was on her good list this year. Santa then takes the child to his toy shop and to meet one of his new reindeer-in-training. Then he takes the child on a quick ride on his sleigh.
For my daughter who is 8, I am afraid this will probably be her last year believing in Santa, as she already is getting very skeptical about certain aspects of it. PNP created an absolutely magical experience for her this Christmas and let her hold onto the magic of Christmas just a little bit longer.

  1. I really use to love this service till I ran into an issue with it utilizing the wrong state name. We contacted support within minutes if placing the order for one if the paid Premium Plus levels and after weeks of no reply were finally told sorry you made the mistake of putting the wrong state so your out of luck. To choose the wrong state not once but numerous times at numerous locations? Sorry not having it and very disappoints at their lack of willingness to help and the lack of communication.

  2. I’ve done a video like this before and it was so cute! I remember when I was little and I got a handwritten letter from santa, complete with a swatch of fabric from one of his red suits. It was so magical!
