I was first introduced to Big Fish Games when my blogging pal Skeet reviewed one of their games. I wanted to check out the game for myself and thanks to her review I knew they offered free trials of every game, so off I went. I didn’t know it right then, but I have since learned that I had found something very rare that day.
One of the things I like the most about Big Fish Games is their selection. They offer a huge selection and it’s constantly growing because there’s a new game added every day. They offer both mac and pc games. The Big Fish site allows search by game category, age, platform and popularity. I noticed that they offered something called My Game Space, which is like a myspace that shows the games you’ve played. It was free, so I decided to check it out. That’s when I discovered people signing up for a free My Game Space get to choose two free games. Who doesn’t like free things?
After buying a hidden object game I knew I enjoyed the genre so much I’d be buying more of them. So, I enrolled in the Big Fish Game Club. Club members get to buy games at a reduced price, as low as $6.99 per game. Of course I signed up, the membership more than pays for itself within the first few purchases. I wanted to promote the club but couldn’t find just the right banner to do it. I emailed Big Fish and received one of those automated responses. Having contacted many businesses online, I expected it would take at least a week to hear back from them, if I ever did. Boy was I surprised when I got a reply within a day or two containing a new ad exactly like what I wanted. That was my first taste of Big Fish Customer Service.
Around the holidays game club members were offered a real treat. Any member who bought any one game would receive a second game of their choice for free. Of course I took advantage. I thought it was a very generous offer, considering their prices to members are already really low. What a great way to show appreciation for members!
Recently I got a new computer, a laptop, that I’ve been working on getting set up. It’s a Macbook Pro, running os X, and it has the parallels software on it so that I’m also able to run the Windows os and software. I decided before I started reconfiguring my home network and installing and reinstalling my games, or getting any new ones, that I needed some answers to some questions. I once again emailed Big Fish, this time late at night. I did not expect an answer immediately but I had a friendly and complete answer back the next morning. Sadly, I hadn’t realized when sending it I actually had more questions, so I emailed again. Once again I received a prompt response containing an answer. This happened two more times, each time I sent a new question they answered politely in hardly any time. In their final email I was really impressed with their outstanding customer service, as the rep requested I contact him if I ran into more questions. I don’t have any more questions at the moment but if I do I won’t hesitate to send them in because I know from experience I’ll get a timely, helpful answer.
Anyone can buy from Big Fish Games. Games typically cost $19.99 but if you join the Game Club drop in price to a range of $6.99 to $9.99 per game depending on your commitment. For me their service and support has been unparalleled. I recommend Big Fish highly to any computer game enthusiast.
