REVIEW – Longitude Swimwear

I am not a fan of bathing suit shopping. In my experience, every time that I have shopped for a bathing suit in a mass retailer I had a hard time. There were limited styles and sizes, and it seemed that the designs were all made with either the young or the old in mind. This year I knew I’d need a bathing suit, as I’d lost 200 pounds, and was dreading going shopping for it. Fortunately I learned about Longitude Swimwear.

MY THOUGHTS
Longitude Swimwear has many styles – far more then I’ve seen in any local store. They offer the classic one piece, high neck one piece, tankini, swim dress, blouson and many others. After browsing the large number of Longitude Swimsuits on the Swimwear For Me site, I decided that I really liked the Cayenne Shirred V-Neck D-Cup Skirtini and wanted to go with that one. It looks like this.

When the swimsuit arrived I was very happy to see that it looked just as it had in the picture on the website. Now the real questions. How would it fit? How would it wear? How would it look on me? The size Large suit fit great and was true to size, size 12/14. I’ve always been large on top, even as a young woman before I became obese. The top part of the suit goes on over the head. The top was easy to put on. It has a built in bra that gave decent support in the bust and a lining on the tummy area that helps make the stomach look a little flatter. The bottom part of the suit is a pair of briefs attached to a small skirt. I love the bottoms – I love the coverage they give and I don’t feel like I’m exposing anything. The nylon/spandex swimsuit had no problems in the pool or out – the swimsuit stayed in place, nothing rode up and nothing popped out. I am very satisfied with the suit and love it. Here’s what the suit looked like on me. (Unfortunately it didn’t look quite as good on me as it did on the model. Oh well….)
