My youngest son loves trains, so we were very excited to receive the opportunity to check out a new toy from Tomy, the Dinosaur Train Arctic Adventure Motorized Train Set.

MY THOUGHTS
I received the Dinosaur Train Arctic Adventure Motorized Train Set. My son took to this set quickly. He usually kneels next to toys like this and pulls them around the tracks. The fact that it was motorized didn’t seem to make much of a difference at first. I think once he realized that it meant a little less work fr him he understood, because then he called “mom, look!” The track pieces seem sturdy and well made. The tracks are easy to move around and put together, and we had no problem with them unlocking while the toy was in use. The train can hold the conductor and two passengers. These didn’t always stay on while my son was playing with the train but it didn’t seem to bother him much, he’d just pick them back up. We found that the motorized engine moved along the best when it was only pulling two or three cars, after that it would slow down a lot of just not move forward at all. The scenery is made of cardboard so I don’t expect it will last more then a couple of sessions, but you don’t need it to play with the set.
