My Mom was diagnosed with skin cancer about two years ago. She is now very cautious whenever she is outdoors. She wears protection and she had to have a body scan annually. Her diagnosis was frightening to me, because it made me think back to when I was a teenager and always out in the sun. I swam competitively and was a lifeguard. let me tell you, I was dark. And I loved that, because back then tans were considered attractive, sexy I guess. I don’t view them that way anymore. We just returned from a week in Florida. It may be November and we may have had a couple of brisk 65 degree days but that didn’t stop me from making sure my son had on sun protection. Wondering why?
UV rays are present year-round and can cause a 50-fold increase in premature aging of your skin. Whether you’re tossing the football, picking apples or hiking this autumn, make sure not to fall into bad sunscreen habits. Despite the change in season, Dr. Elizabeth K. Hale, Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at NYU and practicing Dermatological surgeon, advises parents to apply sunscreen on themselves and their children just as they would during the summer.
I received samples from the Coppertone KIDS® with Protective Vitamins line. These products contain a specially selected antioxidant vitamin blend to supplement the natural defenses of children’s skin.

* Twist-and-lock cap means no cap to lose
* Quick and even coverage
My son didn’t burn at all while we were in Florida. In fact, he got no color at all, which is perfectly fine with me. My favorite of the products was definitely the spray. It was super fast to use, a big benefit when your child is in a hurry to see Mickey. It was also super easy to use, the can didn’t even have to be upright to spray it.
Coppertone products can be purchased nationwide at food, drug, mass and internet retailers.

I dont use it in the winter time at all. But I guess I should!
80% of UV Rays can also get through cloud cover, so don’t think you shouldn’t wear sunscreen when it’s cloudy out.
Something easily forgotten …especially up here in the North in the Winter.
I love the Pure and Simple sunscreen. Its a bit hard to rub in though.
This is definitely some great information that I will be using because people do take these types of things for granted.
