I love things that smell good. I appreciate things that smell good even more when they have a purpose. I recently got to try some products from Caldrea, a new line of aromatherpeutic “homekeeping” products.

MY THOUGHTS
I tried hand soap, hand lotion and countertop spray. The line also includes hand balm, candles, laundry products, additional cleaning products and accessories. I really like the product’s simple and elegant packaging, it’s perfect for the holidays. Next I started distributing things around the house and trying them out. I tried the hand soap in both Balsam Fir Plum scent and Vanilla Quince Santal scent. These soaps are completely different and smell great. The Balsam Fir Plum contains Cypress and Bergamot essential oils, and is very much a holiday scent that will likely make you think of live Christmas trees (a smell I love). The Vanilla Quince Santal scent contains Vanilla, Orange and Cardamom essential oils. It’s different and could easily be used year round, it’s sort of vanilla and citrus, and it’s a very warm scent. I tried hand lotion in the Vanilla Quince Santal scent. The lotion was very smooth and had a creamy feel to it. I also tried some Countertop Spray, in the Balsam Fir Plum and Vanilla Quince Santal scents, along with the Crimson Pear Ginger scent. the Crimson Pear Ginger contains Mandarin, Spearmint, Cinnamon, Clove and Ginger essential oils. The Countertop spray is designed for cleaning counters, is made from special vegetable protein extracts that help rid the room of odors. Not only did the Countertop Spray do a great job cleaning off the counter, but it smelled nice and didn’t have that manufactured chemical smell that many cleaners have. If you like scented products and dislike the average chemical scent, you’ll want to give Caldrea Aromatherapeutic products a try.

  1. I love natural products and cannot use the products with horrible smells and chemicals. I get headaches so I always try for products like this. The Vanilla Quince Santal scent sounds wonderful to me and I would love to use that in my house.
