No passenger easily identifies a luggage just by its appearance. What if someone else has the exact suitcase as you? Some airlines provide luggage tags; it isn’t advisable to use those because other passengers could use them too. Opt for recognizable tags instead; such as those with logos, to ease identification.

Use Stickers
Using stickers to decorate your bag singles it out from others. Colorful stickers can be attractive and fun for adults and children. Try using some kids stickers or even a bumper sticker. If you prefer not to have brightly colored stickers, try using stickers with letters on them.
Use Fabric
Tie a ribbon, scarf or piece of fabric onto the handle of your bag. This method isn’t permanent, so you can change it any time.

My Mum always used to tie a neon coloured ribbon around our luggage when we went away. It really made it easier spotting it going around.
I never used to think about this until I began travelling with a plain black carry-on, from Primark of all places. After a few times of travelling with it, I soon learnt to try a brightly coloured ribbon around the handle so I could spot it on the luggage carousel.
