Where Is The Heart Of Your Home?
If I had to pick one room I’d say the heart of my home is the living room. We spend a lot of time in the living room together, watching movies and playing games in there. I love it when we all site on the couch and pass around popcorn or other snacks, it’s a real feeling of family togetherness. I have memories of many Easters and Thanksgivings spent in this room as well with extended family. But it’s not all about fun. It’s also about peace. I can sit on the couch and just hear the sounds of TJ playing a video game or CJ driving his trucks around and I am truly at peace because I know they’re safe and content.
Now for the real answer. The heart of my home is not really in one place. It’s wherever we are together. It’s a feeling you get. Yiu might get it at home, on a vacation or just standing in the yard or on the bus stop. When the feeling of love hits you so strongly that for a minute all is right with the world.

We have a combined kitchen-eating area – family room, that is the heart of our home. We probably spend 90% of our non-sleeping time in that area. When we built our house, years and years ago, we didn’t want the “cook” separated from everyone else. It’s worked out well.
I like the part about the feeling rather than the place.

We have a lot of kids in sports so we spend a lot of time in the bleachers cheering our family members on. We bond and support each other. I love it.
The kitchen is the heart of our home………tables are for playing games, doing schoolwork, as well as eating.
The kitchen is the heart of our home. Everyone seems to end up in the kitchen. The kids playing on the floor and the adults talking around the island in the middle.

The heart of our home is definitely the kitchen. We have some dietary restrictions that mean we cook all of our meals at home. We’re always in there, rooting around for snacks and meals. (I was tempted to say the bedroom was the heart of our home, but I thought you might like the comments to stay clean!)

The heart of our home right now is our bedroom. *lol* It’s just me and my husband (and I guess you need to count hte dog and two cats), so when he comes home from work, we usually spend a lot of time lounging in the bed talking about how his day went. On the weekends we eat dinner and watch movies in there. It’s our little oasis at the moment. *lol*

The heart of our home is the kitchen. Spending time together during meals, cooking together, having good meals during the holidays…the kitchen is the focus for a lot of good family memories.
The heart of my room is also the living room, although we have a very good layout and our kitchen, living room and dining room are all open and connected to each other. I like interacting with everyone while I cook dinner!

My bed! A lot of fun family time is spent there. Reading, laughing, hanging out! No TV!!

The heart of our home is the kitchen. We also have 3 generations living in this home so it is definately active but filled with lots of love. My mother is the best cook and we all gather in their together lots of times while she is cooking to catch up on each others day and of course wait for the good food to be served.
My kids are still young enough that our bed is the heart of our home. We watch movies, play games and read on it.
I think it’s the living room. That’s where we gather to talk about stuff the most.

I think the heart of our home is in the kitchen at our table. I am fortunate enough to have my husband home everyday as he works from a home office upstairs. We eat lunch and dinner together on most days and it makes for some wonderful conversations!
The heart of my home is my kitchen/great room. I have one long room that has my kitchen on one end, my dining area in the middle and my living room on the other end. But everyone does always land in my kitchen!
The heart of my home is the kitchen. It’s big enough to have more then one person cooking which I love because me and my huband love to cook together. Our den is the heart of our home. We have green furniture and paneled walls.
The heart of our home is the family room/living room. We love our fire place and the mantle changes with the seasons. The kids love to hang in there with us. It’s cozy and nice but yet kid friendly enough to relax.
The heart of our home is the kitchen. We work and play in various room, sometimes together sometimes separately. In the kitchen we eat our meals together and have a chance to talk about our days without the distractions of television, computers, toys and games.
I liked your comment about the heart of the home being anywhere that your family is together. I agree; our house is just a building, but our home is where we become a family.
