I recently had the opportunity to try the CosMedix Purity Deep Cleaning Duo. The duo consists of the purity detox scrub and purity solution, which is a nourishing, deep cleansing oil. I know, some of you are wondering why in the world you would use an oil to cleanse your skin! My husband said the very same thing the first time I used it! He said, “aren’t you trying to get rid of oil, not put more on your face?”
The idea of using an oil to cleanse is as old as time. Using a cleansing oil helps get deep into your pores and lifts dirt and bacteria out as it leaves healing oil in your pores. The Cosmedix Purity Solution Deep Cleansing Oil works on the principle that oil cuts through oil. By using a nourishing blend of natural oils and extracts including Argan Oil, Moringa Oil and antioxidant-rich Melia Azadirachta Extract, this deep cleansing oil fights age-accellerating free radicals and dissolves excess oil, dirt, makeup and more to reveal a more radiant glow.
To use, you massage some of the oil onto your dry skin. When you add a bit of water to your face, the oil emulsifies and you can rinse it off, leaving your skin soft and smooth.
The Purity Detox Scrub uses a unique combination of chemical and manual exfoliators to cleanse the skin and polish away imperfections. As Poppy, Jojoba and Date Seeds scrub away dead skin cells and debris, Salicylic Acid provides intensive renewal for an all-around smoother, clearer look and feel. You can use the detox scrub with the oil, too. Just pour some of the purity oil in your hand and mix in about a ½ teaspoon of the detox scrub. Then go ahead and massage gently into your skin.
I used the combination on my hands, too, which left them looking and feeling much younger! My college age daughter tried the purity skincare also, and she loves it! She said her face felt so clean and soft and looked visibly clearer!

This sounds like a great combo. Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of cleansing oils. I can’t wait to give this a try.
Putting oil back into your skin is always a great idea. This is a product worth looking into. And I am always on the lookout for an exfoliant that doesn’t..well…suck! LOL.

Oils are different–so yes–starting with baby oil and even sunscreen.
I need to use facial scrubs more often. I notice that they really do make a difference in the feel of my skin.
