Purina ONE Cat Food
If you’re a regular Mom Knows It All reader then you might recall I recently mentioned that we (we meaning Jules) were taking the Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge. If you’d like to read the first two posts about the challenge you can find them here –> my first Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge post and my second Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge post.
Results typically seen after switching to this food include eager eating, healthy energy, less waste, bright eyes and a shiny coat, and clean teeth and an improved immune system.
Purina One Challenge Results
Jules is a completely indoor cat. We’ve already noticed some changes in Jules already since he’s started eating Indoor Advantage, which was developed for indoor cats to help minimize hairballs and maintain a healthy weight. He’s been very eager to eat his food. Every night when I fill the bowl he’s right there ready to dig in. He literally can’t wait to eat more of it. His fur seems softer and fuller. He’s pooping a little less. And he’s sleeping on the bed (YAY!). Those things started at about a week into the challenge and have continued. What I was the most curious about is how the food would impact Jules behavior and energy.
Historically Jules has just been awesome. He will tolerate just about anything. He’s always had a great purr, especially for me and my oldest son. All I have to do is touch him and he rumbles. My oldest, all he has to do is look at him to get him to purr. For the most part, since he turned two or so he’s been pretty mellow. I never thought much of it other then he’d outgrown kittenhood. Sure, he’d play sometimes if we initiated with a toy, but that was about it.
Now my house is filled with the pitter patter of little feet. And I don’t mean that figuratively. And I’m not referring to my son. I am referring to Jules. This cat that used to always be quiet is now always on the move and trying to play. Dog toy? No problem, he took it.
Jules
He attacks his shadow on the hallway wall. He’s been playing with anything within his paw’s reach. Cable wire poking put? He’s grabbing it and dragging it all around the house. If there’s no toys available he will steal something and play with that!
Dog walking by? He’s playfully swatting and trying to mug the dog!
Jules
He play swats and tries to mug people too! Then if you stop to engage with him he’ll start rolling around so you pet him. I wish I had some video of some of his antics. He’s been so much fun to watch. There’s no mistaking the change in his behavior since he switched to this food. He’s much more energetic and playful for sure!
We’re nearing the end of our Purina ONE 28-Day Challenge. Be sure to check back in a week or so for one final update and wrap-up and an awesome giveaway! If you’ve learned enough to make you interested in the challenge, log in and you will get a coupon to help get you started.

  1. We were feeding my dog a regular dry food and all the while he was lethargic, apathetic, and really showed his advancing age. Now my mom cooks meals from scratch for him and the transformation is incredible! He went from achy joints, barely being able to get up, cataracts in his eyes to reverting back to a puppy. Just goes to show you how IMPORTANT food is in not only human diets but in animal diets as well.

  2. I am going to be starting a Purina 28 Day Challenge with my dog. I wonder what improvements I will see.

  3. My cat loves Purina one cat food. I haven’t seen this version before…but our stores are SO SLOW in getting in the new products. I would love to try it for our cat though.

  4. I still can’t get over how adorable Jules is! Totally kitty fan 😉 This cat food sounds awesome! My cats stay indoors too, I am definitely going to need to check this out for them!

  5. My cats like to climb everything in the house to amuse themselves. Knocking something off and breaking it is a bonus, lol.

  6. You have a very lovely cat Val! How I wish I had one though. But PURINA looks like a great product! I will refer this to a friend who own one 😉

  7. I only feed my cats (6) and the feral colony outside as well as my dog Purina products. Your cat is adorable.
Our cats are amused by bags, boxes and anything they can bat around.
