Dobby is almost four months old now, and we’ve had him for about two and a half months. It is unbelievable how fast he is growing. Like babies, his nutritional needs are different now then they will be at other ages. And like people, not everyone eats the same thing.  We’ve been pretty fortunate in that Dobby is not a super fussy eater. Early on he did exhibit a preference to food but we realized it was because he was so young he was having a hard time chewing that particular food. (We tried again a month later and had no issue.) I have seen pet foods broken down into life stages (puppy, adult, senior, etc) but never one that took that even further and accounted for breed, size, activity level and so on. I’d never seen a customizable pet food, until Petbrosia.
Petbrosia makes dog and cat foods. When you order you are asked a number of questions about your pet, including breed, size, weight, health and even allergies. That information is used to determine the right Petbrosia diet for your dog or cat. Once the mix as been determined, petbrosia custom makes your pet’s food,  using the highest quality, all-natural ingredients, grown and raised by farmers across America. The pet food contains no corn, wheat, soy, or by-products.

When your pet food is delivered (yes delivered, no more running to the store) you receive a printout. The printout contains a detailed analysis of the food, including the ingredients, caloric content, recommended feeding instructions and reorder date. If you don’t want to worry about running out of dog food or remembering when to order it, you can choose to go on their auto ship program and shipments will be sent at the intervals you specify.

Our transition was uneventful. The dog food consists of small, round pieces. It’s not too hard or too soft. Dobby had no problems chewing it, he eats it right up. I can tell from the sound of the crunch he wouldn’t have had any trouble chewing this even at a younger age. The food does have a very mild smell, but it’s sort of a general “foodish” smell, it doesn’t smell like dog food like some dog foods do.

We as people, most of us anyway, love our pets. We consider them like individual members of our families. It’s great to see a company whose goal is to make a nutritionally complete product that will help our family members thrive.
