As mentioned previously, my computer has been acting a bit strangely. I was using Outlook for a good amount of my email. I am one of those people who doesn’t leave their computer on unattended. Before shutting down, I always quit my apps. Every time I attempted to shut down, I’d get error messages that Outlook.exe needed to quit. I’d get 4-6 of them every time. I did a lot of googling about it and tried about 5 different solutions, all to no avail. Finally, yesterday I had enough. I had downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird awhile back but had done nothing with it. I imported every address, setting, email and folder all into Thunderbird. I emptied Outlook of almost everything. I restarted. I am pleased to say that since last night I have shut down several times, and at no time did I get the message telling me to quit things. Problem solved. Wait until you hear about the other things I did.
