I love Ford Mustangs. I mean, I really LOVE the Ford Mustang. The Mustang has been my favorite model of car ever since I can remember. I was invited to attend the 2nd Annual Northeast Mustang Meet this weekend. Unfortunately I cannot attend. But, I wanted to share the details of the event with you. If you’re into Mustangs, sports cars, classic cars, or just want an affordable day out with the family, this show might be just for you.
Classic Mustangs Gather for a Special Cause at Salerno Duane Ford
+100 Mustangs on Display – Cherubs Foundation Benefit – Prizes and Fun for Families
•When: August 30, 2015 – 9am – 3pm
•Where: Salerno Duane Ford, 245 Broad Street, Summit, NJ (spectator parking at the Municipal Lot)
•What: Northeast Mustang Meet, Raffle, Prizes, Food, Live Music, Family Friendly
•Why: Benefit Cherubs Foundation
•Visuals: Over 100 Classic Mustangs, Community Members, Award Ceremony – 30 Huge Trophies and 20 Medals of Honor will be presented.
On August 30, over 100 Mustang owners from around the area will be out to show off their classic cars in the 2nd annual Northeast Mustang Meet. A fun, family friendly event with prizes, food and live music is open to the public, and those that attend can even vote for their favorite car – There’s a kids vote too! This event is being held to help raise funds to benefit Cherubs – The Association of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) Research, Awareness and Support.
Venom Stangz Mustang Club with Salerno Duane Ford and Stang Magazine are the presenters of this car show.
Cherubs is a foundation close to the heart of one of the organizers of this meet, Eric Lorenzo, who lost his granddaughter to CDH. It is in her memory that this event is being organized.
The awards ceremony will present 30 trophies and 20 medals of honor based on a judge’s panel and public votes in various categories.

One of these days I will get to a show. I remember the first Mustang I saw after it rolled out mid-1964.

My parents had a red 65 Mustang. It was a cool car. My mother had my dad trade it in for a Pinto, a Pinto wagon no less. What an unforgivable act!
