Earlier this month moms across the country celebrated National Mom’s Nite Out, both online and in a variety of locations across the country. The folks at Unilever, with some help from Mom Select,  sent Making Life Better Family Fun Packages to a bunch of moms in honor of Mom’s Nite Out and Mother’s Day. I was fortunate enough to receive one of those boxes.

The Making Life Better Family Fun Package I received contained a variety of different Unilever food products. Each was a popular brand that  is versatile, tasty and easy to use. If they weren’t they wouldn’t help make life better, would they? The box I received contained a Family Fun Book with tips for easy and affordable meals, a box of Lipton Green Tea, Lipton Soup Mix, a jar of Bertolli sauce, a Knorr Pasta Side, a coupon for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and a coupon for Hellmann’s Mayo.
I didn’t get out on Mom’s Nite Out but I did get a night off from deciding what to cook. I used the Bertolli on some pasta for the boys. The Bertolli was an alfredo (my favorite). I admit I ate a couple of spoons of it like soup and thought it was very good. I’ve been eating a lot of mashed potatoes on my post surgical diet and have been taking calcium as well. That’s why I picked up the Country Crock With Calcium And Vitamin D and have been putting a little in my mashed potatoes. I used the coupon to get Hellman’s Light and have put a little in with my tuna and my chicken.
If you’ve never been to the Unilever Making Life Better website it’s worth checking out. The site was created to help people find ways to live, cook and spend better. You can find lots of recipes and meal ideas that are super easy to make, as well as money saving ideas, tips, coupons and special offers.
A big thanks to Unilever and Mom Select for making my life a little better, and for celebrating motherhood! This year’s Mom’s Nite Out was a big success and I’m looking forward to joining in the fun and celebrating Mom’s Nite Out 2010, which is already being planned for May 6, 2010.

  1. I buy all the products shown although some in a different flavor or size. They are quality merchandise at a reasonable retail price before couponing especially double. Lucky for customers like me, Unilever does put coupons out.
