I frequently receive email from companies asking me to share news or discounts with my readers. Each week I’ll gather the best requests and share them with you here.
Happenings at Turtle Back Zoo
Groundhog Day • Wondering if we’ll see six more weeks of winter weather? Turtle Back Zoo’s very own Essex Ed will predict this year’s weather forecast in the annual ceremony. Join us for Turtle Back Zoo’s annual Groundhog Day Prediction Ceremony on February 2nd with Master of Ceremonies, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. Doors open to the public at 11am.
Valentine’s Day • Instead of buying a stuffed animal for your loved one as a Valentine’s Day gift this year, opt for another furry option that will make a difference! Adopt something red and fuzzy from the Turtle Back Zoo — like the adorable and endangered Red Panda named Sebastian! In honor of Valentine’s Day, the Red Panda will be $14 off throughout the month of February. In exchange for providing financial support of your favorite Turtle Back Zoo residents, adopters will receive a frame-worthy certificate, photo of their animal and a warm feeling that will do the heart good. Isn’t that what Valentine’s Day is all about?
For more information about the Groundhog Day celebration and the Adopt-an-Animal Program, or to make an adoption, go to www.TurtleBackZoo.com and click on “Support the Zoo.”
