This post was written by Mom Knows It All contributor Libby.
Libby is a wife (of 40 years), mother of 10 grown children and the grandmotherof 23 growing grandchildren. She loves to read, do arts and crafts projects, scrapbook, cook, sew, and take photo upon photo upon photo of her fabulous family (which includes 4 legged babies). She’s a southern gal who likes her grits will lots of butter, and her biscuits with gravy. She believes that please and thank you go a long way, and remembers her “yes ma’ams” and “no sirs”. Learning is something Libby never want to stop doing. Knowledge is power and her cape says SUPER! Her life has not always been easy, but it has been worth it. She loves deeply, and gives thanks often. Libby may be disabled,… but she’s grateful that she’s still “on the adventure”! Libby can be found blogging at Libby’s Library, and also on Facebook and Twitter.

MedCenter Systems offers a wide selection of products to help you keep track of your medications.
Taking prescribed medications on schedule is essential to health maintenance. Did you remember to take your meds at the right time? What if you forget and skip a dose, or what if you think you forgot a dose, but actually didn’t – so you take your medications again and end up over medicating? This is a very common occurrence in the elderly, but it can also happen to those who have busy lives, or suffer from brain fog, due to certain medical conditions. MedCenter Systems to the rescue.
From complete organization systems, to alarms to remind you that it’s time to take your medications, to reminder watches and so much more. There is a system for just about every need.
I have a number of chronic illnesses, and I often forget to take my mid-day doses of medication. This is truly frustrating, as skipped doses equal more pain and difficulty in breathing and functioning in general.

I received a Your Minder Personal Recording Alarm Clock, which retails for $49.95. This product allows you to set up to six personal recorded alarm messages. My husband had a blast, recording messages for me, to remind me to take my meds, drink fluids, eat and take a nap. Although they are funny messages, they do the job. The unit allows you to set up to six different daily alarm times, which really helps you stay on schedule. The unit works with (2) AA batteries (included) or 120V AC power adapter (sold separately).

I also received a MedCenter Take Your Pills Talking Alarm Clock, which retails for $39.95. This alarm clock lets users set up to four daily alarms for morning, afternoon, evening and night. Each alarm features a female voice that tells you the time, date and which daily dose to take. (“Good morning! Please take your morning pills for the 20th.”) When you acknowledge the alarm the unit tells you when your next dose will be due. This unit also runs on batteries, or using a power adapter (sold separately).
Using these two products, I’ve taken my medicine on time more often in the last week than I have in the last year. I’ve also eaten on a more regular basis and drunk more water than usual.
For those who travel, MedCenter has 2 different sizes of Weekly Travel Organizers and for those who take a lot of vitamins, they have a Monthly Vitamin Organizer.
