I haven’t had to job hunt in over two years. Back then I put my resume up on all of the big job sites and applied to anything I was qualified for and some things I was not. One thing clear on my paper resume and my online resume was the type of job I was looking for. I had no interest in sales jobs. Yes, I have more than ten years in a sales call center but I knew when I got out I never wanted to go back to that type of job. Except for the money (for which I only have myself to blame) I very much like where I am now. Which is why I’m not looking for a job. When I got home today I had an email from someone from a company I interviewed at more than two years ago, asking me if I wanted a job. I couldn’t believe it. Who does that? I actually started wondering if resumes out to have expiration dates. If beverages have a born on date than I think resumes should have a best if used by date. what do you think? What’s the longest period of time that went by after applying for a job that you heard from the company?
