A few months ago my son locked me out of the house. I literally was just checking the mail and being 2 years old he ran up and shut the door thinking it would be funny. Panic set in. Hubby was away at work, no one nearby had a spare key, and my phone was inside. It was probably about a minute before he opened the door, but I was frazzled! What if he had gotten hurt or something? I sure wish I had this Master Lock Key Safe then! I am a worrier, so hiding a spare key somewhere is not an option. I’d never sleep at night! What if someone found where I hid the key?
This is where the Master Lock Key Safe comes in handy. You can set your own combination 1-12 characters long. You can use numbers or letters, but each character cannot be used more than once. On the back panel there are yellow circles in which you use to program your safe. It comes with a tool designed to turn the dials, but if you lose that you can just always use a flathead screwdriver. Set up was easy! The inner compartment has plenty space,you could easily fit multiple keys in there. Winters get cold here, so there is a protective weather covering to protect it from the elements.
The key safe is great. I love knowing that I will not be in that situation again! I also love that now when we go for walks I don’t have to bring my keys! If someone needed to get in my house- let’s say to let the dog out, I could easily just give them the pass code. Once done, I can easily just change it. There are so many reason this comes in handy. Let’s just face it, hiding a key under your doormat is just not safe!

I have been locked out the house a few times. One time my husband had a key with him so he let me in. The other time my brother in law and husband had to “break” into the house. Now I make sure a few people have extra keys.
