Did you send out Christmas cards in 2014? I didn’t. I wanted to, but I didn’t. You see I am rather particular about Christmas cards. I like them to represent a bit of my personality. As I have every year before I spent a couple of weeks looking in the stores for just the right card. Not finding anything I really liked in the big box stores I started contemplating doing personalized cards again this year. After all, personalized are well, so personal. There’s something really nice about opening up a card you know someone took the time to design themselves, right? Then I had surgery and all of a sudden December was over. No cards sent.
And now it’s January. Happy New Year! Out of all of the cards I received this year there were a few that stood out, most of which were personalized. A small part of me actually feels a little bad that I didn’t get to send out cards, particularly to those people. So I got to wondering if sending a card now, in the beginning of the year, might be a nice thing to do. Wouldn’t you like to receive a special card over the next few weeks wishing you a wonderful 2015? I would. Mango Salute Fine Art Cards makes special cards.
Mango Salute believes in the importance of nurturing relationships, as well as the premise that “a thing of beauty is a joy forever.” Their cards are not something you’ll find in a big box store. A Mango Salute Fine Art Card is very much like a small work of art, as the artwork comes from a community of independent artists – including painters, photographers, designers or illustrators – from over 30 countries.
“As technology makes it easier to stay in touch with family and friends, it also becomes increasingly difficult to deliver messages that have a lasting impact” says Ariel Resnik, Founder of Mango Salute. “The aim of Mango Salute is to combine the freedom of technology with the quality of tangible mementos.”
You really have to see one of these cards to appreciate it fully. The cards are printed on thick premium card stock sourced from sustainable forests. The cards feel so smoothy and nice!  The quality of the photos is terrific, very crisp and clear. Finished cards are delivered in a red envelope. The attention to detail, the beauty of the card and the thoughtfulness behind the personalized message will make this card stand out. It’s very possible you will enjoy it so much that, unlike the stack of ordinary Christmas cards you either throw away or recycle, you’ll want to keep it.

With each card being a piece of art you might wonder how hard it is to make a card. It isn’t hard at all.
There are four simple steps to creating your physically delivered fine art card:

  • Step One: ART– Select a featured artwork from our inspired community of painters, illustrators, designers and photographers from more than 30 countries.
  • Step Two: PERSONALISATION – Tell your own story by customizing your Fine Art Card. Add your own images and message, or select one of many expressions from our message bank.
  • Step Three: VIDEO – Say what you want to say in a video, or share a song or record a video message, to be encoded on the back of your Fine Art Card.
  • Step Four: SEND – Mango Salute prints and delivers your Fine Art Card to destinations worldwide.

The site is very easy to navigate. You can browse cards by occasions, art styles, subjects & interests, and events. You can filter search results in a variety of ways including portrait, landscape, black & white, and color. Once you choose the design you want to you then you personalize it. Designing the card is fun, you can choose the layout of the inside of the card, how many pictures you will include and how long your message is.

I absolutely love that you can include a song or video with each card you create. I mean, how much more personalized does personalized get then with a personal digital message or especially chosen song! If you choose to include a song, video or spoken message the card comes with a QR code printed on the back. The recipient scans the QR code with their smartphone and can then hear/see the message.
A Mango Salute Fine Art Card is a great way to deliver a personal message that people will not only remember receiving but also want to keep as a memento or personal treasure. If you want to make an impression Mango Salute is a great place to start.
Mango Salute Fine Art Cards are all priced £4.50 / $7.50USD / $8AUD / 5.50EURO (including personalisation and digital elements) with free first-class shipping internationally.

  1. I love that you can tell your own story with the card. This is really nice to read about…I think I’d definitely want to add a song or video too! You’re right that is an awesome option.

  2. Not all of my friends celebrate Christmas or clients for that matter, so years ago I got in the habit of sending New Year’s Wishes, and some folks that were on my Xmas that heard about the New Year’s Cards asked to switch to those instead! LOL
So definitely nothing wrong with sending New Year’s cards instead! Personalized cards are the way to go! 🙂
