My family is very important to me. My children are the most important thing in the world to me. I am so very fortunate to have two beautiful boys. I cannot imagine my life without them. The two photos above were taken a while back. They are literally two of my favorite photos and the one on the left is probably my most favorite photo EVER. Being a parent is possibly the most challenging job there is, but it comes with the greatest rewards. My oldest son is one of my two great loves. We don’t always see eye to eye but our disagreements don’t change how much I love him. His smile melts my heart. My youngest son is the other of my two great loves. He can brighten even my darkest day with his smile and laughter. His compassion for others is one of his many great qualities. Things like these remind me how much love really is a gift. When given the opportunity to help spread the word about MassMutual’s social initiative on love I happily accepted. Love is a gift. We as people are so lucky to be able to have and to give love. These are definitely messages I want to share.

Love can come in many forms and be shown in many ways. It’s very unique that way. Life is short, so we need to celebrate those we love. MassMutual’s social initiative Love Is A Gift is a great campaign. It’s designed to get people to celebrate the relationships we have with our loved ones and how those loved ones have made a difference in our lives. People can share stories about what makes love a gift for them and as a result others will benefit.

Wondering who will benefit? Lots of people will benefit. For every qualifying upload a $1 donation from MassMutual to Easter Seals will be made, up to $50,000! I think that is awesome! I am familiar with the Easter Seals organization. My youngest has special needs and I know firsthand that Easter Seals has a lot of programs in our area that people really need. And as mother of a child with special needs who has worked with a number of caregivers over the years, I know firsthand that the bond with a caregiver can be as strong as one with a family member. As a national partner with Easter Seals, MassMutual understands that love can be demonstrated in many different ways. One of those ways is by providing children and adults living with disabilities, their caregivers, and veterans with access to more information, specialists, and financial strategies that can help improve their quality of life.
Wondering how one participates? It’s easy! Take (or find) a picture of you and the people you love the most. Upload that photo to Instagram, adding a brief description about why they matter to you and using the hashtag #LoveIsAGift. Your Instagram account must be public and include the #LoveIsAGift hashtag for the entry to be recognized and to trigger a donation. If you don’t use Instagram (what?!) you can upload the picture to LoveIsAGift.com instead. Those are the only two ways to make your photo share count towards the initiative.
Want to hear what others have to say about this pr0ject? Then join me at the #LoveIsAGift Twitter Party! The party is Wednesday, November 5 from 11am to 12 noon EST. There will be lots of great conversation and some prizes too so I hope you’ll join me. Please note that the #LoveIsAGift Twitter party is separate from the Easter Seals social initiative. Party participants cannot upload a story to LoveIsAGift.com for a chance to win a Twitter Party prize.
Who will you take a picture with and share to celebrate the fact that love is a gift?
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of the MassMutual.
