Hi there! I am Shaun – I’m a New Hampshire native who likes to drop my Rs and use the word “wicked” with enthusiasm. I will argue that Maine lobster is best and that New England Clam Chowder should not have tomatoes in it. I’m married to my HS sweetheart, Marc, and together we are raising Paige (b May 2010) and Brody (b December 2015). We also have 2 very friendly cats who think they rule the house. When we’re not busy containing the chaos of two kids, I work at a local Ford dealership, pretend that I’m good at photography, and usually have my nose stuck in a book.

26 years ago, I fell in love with this little Disney cartoon that you may have heard of – Beauty and the Beast. And at 32 with a 6 year old daughter of my own (same age I was when the movie originally came out), I was able to watch an amazing live movie of the same story from when I was a kid.
And what a movie it was.
If you haven’t seen it, RUN now. And then after, when you’re in the post-Disney bliss of awesomeness, stop by your local JAKKS Pacific store and grab some toys to commemorate the movie.
To celebrate the release of Disney’s new live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, JAKKS Pacific’s new line of toys and role-play items will have every fan feeling like they are a princess at the ball. From feature dolls to dress up and role play, JAKKS Pacific’s extensive line of Disney Beauty and the Beast products let fans of all ages relive the timeless tale.

The Baby Belle doll falls right in line with some of the other Baby Disney Princess dolls we have. It’s durable (which is important when it gets dragged everywhere). The details of the dress are very reminiscent of the movie AND it includes a rose rattle, which is a beautiful and ties back to the movie with incredible accuracy.

The Enchanted Objects tea set was so much fun to play with! It did leak a bit but that very easily could have been user error. And the details in the designs was quite breath-taking. If this had been in china or porcelain, I would have put this away for display only, that’s how gorgeous it was. I love that they included Chip’s chip and that Mrs. Potts eyes closed (which I didn’t realize it did and made me do a double-take when I first saw it).

The Enchanted Rose jewelry box is small so it can’t hold much (and definitely felt more like a toy jewelry box then a real one, despite Paige’s insistence). There were different melodies that could be played, all straight from the movie and the fact the rose bloomed during the music playing was a delight! My only “complaint” is that there is no volume control and it just sounded loud.

The last item Paige is currently obsessing over is Belle’s Accessory kit. With this, she can dress up like Belle in the ballroom scene with combs for her hair, styled so very closely to the movie. She also has a necklace, which is perfect for her hands to get on and off and, once again, pulls directly from the movie. The final touch? Rose earrings (which are clip on) – bringing all the toys and the movie together in one beautiful piece.
For my fellow Disney loving moms with Disney-loving kids, I’d highly recommend any of these pieces to be a gift or a reward. Not only do you “pass along” something of your childhood, your child has fun, imagination-encouraging toys.

The tea set is breathtaking. I am in my forties and I remember having a rag doll and old cups in the sandbox to make “tea” …kids are lucky these days!!
I love Beauty and the Beast too, it was my favourite Disney movie as a child and it still is. Those toys are adorable! My girls are a bit too old for them now but I’ll keep them in mind as my youngest girl starts to grow. I hope she will love Beauty and the Beast as much as me.
PS – for any toy that is too loud and doesn’t have volume control, just put tape over the speaker.
I just love these! Beauty & the Beast has always been a favorite in our home. Odd to think it has been 25 years since I first watched the cartoon version. That doll is cute and I am sure many little girls will really enjoy it.
Adorable little toys for Beauty and Beast fans! Love the tea set!
This means that I was 11 when Beauty and the Beast came out, and now I feel super old. The set is gorgeous, and I have a daughter that LOVES the story, and she loves to call Belle – Bellerina! She’s her favorite Disney princess!
