Save Time And Money With The iRobot Mirra 530 Pool Cleaning Robot

I live in a seashore community with a lot of beaches. I can walk five minutes and be at the bay and see the bridge to Seaside. I am literally only five miles from the ocean. And yet, I almost never go to the beach. I prefer the swimming pool. I grew up with a swimming pool, my parents have always had one. I was afraid to swim as a young child, but once I got over my fear I cruised through all Red Cross classes within a period of a few months. Then I went on to swim competitively for a number of years, sometimes for two different teams. When the time came for me to get a job, I became a lifeguard at a couple of pools in the area. And that’s when I learned that lifeguards do more than just watch the water for people in distress. Do you know what else they do? They clean the pool.
Now I’d been exposed early to some of the responsibilities involved with cleaning a pool, being as we had one at my house. It can be a tedious and time consuming process, involving nets, hoses, filter baskets, pumps, backwashing and more. But it has to be done. A clean pool is certainly more attractive than a dirty pool, and it’s better for your health too. As a lifeguard I’d have to arrive at the pool 30-60 minutes before the pool opened so I could clean the pool. Today anyone that goes through the chore of having to clean a pool doesn’t have to just suffer through doing it. In a way they don’t have to do it at all really. The iRobot Mirra^™ 530 Pool Cleaning Robot can do it for them.

Pool cleaning robots aren’t brand new. They’ve been around for a few years. My Dad got one not long after they first came out. Vacs back then had to be connected to your pool’s filter and needed hoses. They helped get the job done but still required a good amount of human intervention and still ran up your electric bill during pool season. That’s not the case with the Mirra Pool Cleaning Robot.
The Mirra 530 is designed to clean inground pools without having to make use of the pool’s filtration system. This saves energy and money. The Mirra 530 uses iAdapt Nautiq technology to measure the pool and determine the most efficient way to clean the entire thing. The robot moves around the pool on wheels, using rotating brushes to scrub the surfaces of larger debris like twigs and leaves, as well as taking care of tiny things like sand and microscopic things like algae and pollen. Wile pumping and filtering 70 gallons of water per minute, the Mirra makes multiple passes of the pool, ensuring that it covers every bit of ground. It can even climb walls and maneuver on steps! When the Mirra is finished all you need to do is take it out of the pool and empty the two canisters of any debris that it collected. Another benefit of using the Mirra, besides a cleaner pool, is that the movement of the Mirra helps distribute any chemicals such as chlorine, which is more efficient and  helps prevent hot spots.

I can totally appreciate how much time and energy the iRobot Mirra could save pool owners. I surely wouldn’t have complained if the pools I lifeguarded at had one either! I wish we’d had one when I was living at my parents. Heck, I bet my Dad would appreciate having one now! It’s another hour or so per day that could be spent doing other things – spending time with family, sleeping in, grilling, or actually getting in the pool.
