As you know if you’ve been reading Mom Knows It All for a while, we have a Lab puppy named Dobby. Dobby will be two years old in one month.

Dobby had a bit of a rough start in life. I “rescued” Dobby from a “bucket o puppies” that a man had in the back of his car in the parking lot of a strip mall. I knew after seeing Dobby and talking to the man that the pups (Dobby came from a litter of 12) were not getting the care they needed.
From the moment I brought Dobby home we made him one of the family. He weighed a mere 4 pounds. He was so tiny that when he went outside to go to the bathroom he would shiver from the cold. So I bought him a hoodie. And so it began.
Not long after I brought him home I decided to get him a dog bed, for the times when were out of the house and he was in crate. I wondered how to know if a dog bed was comfortable. So, before deciding which dog bed to bring home to our Dobby, I tried them out myself.
I really needn’t have worried about how comfortable the dog bed was. Dobby ate it (and the two that followed), almost as if he wanted to prove the point that he’d much rather snuggle up on one of the couches or in bed with one of us. He’s spoiled and he knows it. Everything we have done for him has made a visible difference in his health and demeanor.
Besides love and attention, there are other things that make a visible difference. Food is one of those things. IAMS is a brand name that I have been familiar with for many years. There’s nothing like watching your puppy mature and grow into adulthood. That’s great that you took so many photos as your pup grew because as we all know dogs grow up way faster than even our kids do!
