What is a Salt Lamp?

• These salt lamps are made of natural Himalayan crystal salt mined from underground salt mines in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains
• The beautiful orange-reddish Himalayan crystal salt is mounted on a wooden base
• This crystal salt is hundreds of millions of years old and, as a result, has special properties and high mineral content
• Heat from the bulb (in our salt lamps) or flame (in our candle holders) causes the salt to emit negative ions
• These negative ions bond with the pollutants in the air (positive ions) and neutralize them
• Also, the newly bonded ions become heavier and fall to the ground removing them from the air circulation
• In addition, these negative ions combat electro-smog caused by electronic devices operating in the home
• Symptoms from asthma, allergies, and other illnesses can also subside from the effects of these products
• Concisely, these products cleanse the air naturally and are extremely beautiful

Why Buy Himalayan Salt?
Himalayan Salt has significant health benefits. It has been used for many years in Asia and Europe and has recently become popular here in the United States. You should buy Himalayan salt if you want a natural alternative to regular table salt. Your average table salt has additives like an anti-caking agents and it goes through a bleaching process to make its color whiter. Himalayan salt does not have these additives and does not go through any bleaching process. Its natural color is the pink hue that you see. Also, Himalayan salt is healthier for you because it possesses 84 trace minerals not found in ordinary table salt. These minerals provide additional nourishment to the body. You should also buy Himalayan salt if you wish to maintain youthful, healthy skin. Various skin ailments that are well-treated by Himalayan salt include dry skin, psoriasis, acne, insect bites, and blisters. It is also effective in treating joint pain. Yet another reason to buy Himalayan Salt is for the purifying of your indoor air. Himalayan salt lamps are chunks of Himalayan salt that are mined from the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains then crafted into various shapes and sizes. A hole is then drilled into the bottom center of the rock where a light bulb is inserted. When the rock is heated by the warmth of the bulb, the salt naturally emits negative ions which help purify the air in your home by binding with the positive ions of pollutants like dust, pollen, dander, cigarette smoke and other allergens. These newly bonded ions then fall to the floor and out of your air circulation creating an environment for healthier breathing. Himalayan salt lamps also help combat electro-smog which is emitted by various electronic devices in the home like computers and televisions. So, there are many reasons to buy Himalayan salt and buying from the Himalayan Salt Shop guarantees that you get the highest quality salt.
