REVIEW – Hard Candy 2017 Spring Collection At Walmart

I love trying out new makeup. If you’ve ever found yourself in the cosmetics aisle of Walmart then you’ve probably seen Hard Candy. Hard Candy’s new 2017 Spring Collection is arriving on shelves now and is really making a statement. I had the opportunity to check this brand and some of its products out for the first time and wanted to share my thoughts with you.


Hard Candy Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip Lacquer combines the shine of a lip gloss with the staying power of a liquid lipstick. Hard Candy Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip lacquer is available in 6 shades – Ambitious, Devious, Entitled, Genius, Famous, Selfish, and Temptress. One tube retails for $6.
Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color is available in 14 shades – Buttercup, Cherry Blossom, Daffodil, Dahlia, Forget Me Not, Foxglove, Heather, Hibiscus, Mimosa Blossom, Snapdragon, Spider Orchid, Sweet Pea, Tulip, and Wisteria. One tube retails for $6.
I received samples of both the Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip Lacquer and the Velvet Mousse Lip Color. The lip color as shown on my arm above lasted for hours. I purposely tried to wipe it off and it didn’t budge. I had to wash it with soap to get it to fade at all. The staying power was no less impressive on the lips. The color didn’t start to wear off during conversation, drinking coffee or snacking. I didn’t need to reapply for hours. I was seriously impressed with the staying power of both the Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip Lacquer and the Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color. I loved the long-lasting shine of the Wet Ever but did also like the softer look of the Velvet Mousse.


The Hard Candy Look Pro Palette includes 15 matte shades of eye shadow as well as 4 professional eye shadow brushes. The palette retails for $10.
This palette could work for anyone. Whether you prefer a simple look or something more complex, this palette will work for you. The brushes allow you to easily apply, blend, crease and accent colors as you like. I prefer matte colors for my eyes. The shades in the palette were made up of enough colors that they would suit any skin tone.I found the palette to be a nice value, with a good variety of shades in a decent size for the money. The colors themselves had a nice pigment, blended nicely, and had nice staying power.


Hard Candy also has some other eye shadows as well, including Hard Candy Look Pro! Metal Eyes, which retails for $8. This Chrome Eyeshadow Kit includes 4 shiny, metallic shades that are perfect for a hot night out on the town. The kit also includes a double sided brush, mixing well, liquid setting spray and mini eyeliner pencil.
This kit lets you create your own look by mixing the eyeshadow shades and the mixing liquid. You can use as much or as little of each color as you like. You can create one simple layer or just keep building on it for a deeper, more dramatic look. The look this kit offers is certainly dramatic. The mixing liquid helps deepen and intensify the colors, so if you prefer a slightly toned down version of the look you can use the shadows dry.
Hard Candy products are available only at Walmart, making them both affordably priced and convenient to buy.
