Did you ever try to sell things online? I have a number of times. It can be a real pain in the butt. First you get the item you’d like to sell. Next you make sure it’s clean and take a picture. Then the real work starts. Now you have to research comparable items that have been sold recently, and see if they sold and what they sold for. They you list your item and hope that someone will make an offer, ideally for what you’re asking. Once an offer is made you have to collect payment. This can be harder then it sounds. Then you have to package the item up and ship it out. All in all it’s a job and by the time you sell your item you’re left wondering if the price you got was worth all the hassle you had to go though. Gone! seeks to change all of that.
Gone! is an app that helps you sell your stuff. What does Gone! do? Gone! is like your personal assistant for selling items online. The app handles many of the tedious tasks involved with selling something, including pricing research, finding buyers, handling payments, and shipping your item. Unlike some other services, Gone! accepts multiple categories from electronics to furniture to collectables – not just electronics or small items.

To use Gone! you take photos or video of the items you want to sell and include a description. It is free to list and sell an item. Once you’ve provided your product info Gone! handles the leg work from there. Gone! will research various marketplaces in order to find a buyer offering the best price.

If by chance your item cannot be sold then Gone! will seek alternate solutions, such as making a donation.
Previously only available in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX, Gone! will also be available shortly in the New York City and Seattle areas. Buyers in these areas have their items that have been sold picked up by a trained driver. There is no charge for pickup, or for the shipping and packing materials that are provided. Users anywhere in the country will also be able to use Gone! As of today, March 24, Gone! will be available to people nationwide through Gone Lite!. Launched today, Gone! Lite enables users anywhere to package up their items using a prepaid Gone! shipping box, schedule a shipping pickup or drop the item off at their nearest shipping location.
Once you, the buyer acknowledge, receipt of the product, Gone! will deposit credit into your seller’s account, cash out the credit by sending the user a check within 3-4 business days, or facilitate redeeming sales credit in the form of Amazon.com Gift Cards. Users even have the ability to integrate their account with Slice, which monitors purchase history through email receipts, and keeps tabs on the changing market value of recently purchases items.
Gone! is like a personal assistant that will save people a lot of time, energy and legwork when it comes to selling things online.
Have you ever tried to sell something online? Wouldn’t it be great if that process was simpler?

I used to sell items on both Ebay and Craigslist and it was such a pain, which is why I stopped doing it. We are in the process of saving for a big vacation and the ability to make some extra cash would be great. I will be checking out this app!

Never heard of this app before. Will have to check it out. I really enjoy buying and selling on eBay.
No because last time I stored things (for over a year) the combined garage sale just didn’t happen–town permits more costly than the efforts.
Wow! There is technology out there for everything nowadays! This app would come in handy when I am selling some of my old stuff online!
