Growing up one of our favorite things to do was play in the snow. There were no snowboards back that as far as I can recall. But we did have sleds. Sleds were great, but could only be used for snow and were cumbersome to store. So basically they were only useful for a couple of months. Fast forward to present day, where scooters have been popular for a number of years. The Ski Scooter gives youths the ability to have fun on the snow and year round. Kids love riding scooters and skateboards, but usually only do it in dry weather, and only on concrete or asphalt. The amazing SKI SKOOTER from Geospace opens up new worlds of exploration for young riders — snow for one, but also grassy hills and even sand dunes! The Skooter works on flat terrain as well as hills…just leave one foot on the board and push with the other, using the handle for balance and directional control. In dry, deep snow, Ski Skooter acts like a snowshoe, allowing riders to float on the surface. Kids stay glued to the Ski Skooter thanks to its sturdy folding handle and non-skid surface. Made of monster-tough polyurethane. Traveling with the Ski Skooter is easy…simply fold down the handle and carry it by hand or strap it onto a pack.
I think the Ski Skooter by Geospace is a great idea. It encourages kids to get outside and play, which is so important. The fact that the scooter is foldable makes it easy to transport and store when not in use. I found the design to be sturdy, and my son had no problems balancing himself on it. Word to the wise though, make sure your child wears sneakers, as the non skid upper deck surface is not very pleasing to stand on in bare feet.
