Pamper Your Pup With FreshPet!
Does your dog have allergies? I have a golden retriever who has been very sensitive to different foods all of his 8 years. We spent hundreds of dollars on special foods that didn’t seem to make a difference! My poor pup, Hudson, would scratch incessantly and chew his skin until he bled. He almost always had raw, open areas combined with bald, healing areas on him. His ears were constantly red and inflamed, too. We tried antihistamines, salmon oil supplements, special shampoos, no shampoos, you name it!
You would not believe the amount of money we have spent on vet bills, medicines and food! He has had prescription creams, medications, shampoos and food. This was one sad puppy, and as his “Mom,” I felt sad and overwhelmed, too. When I was offered the chance to try and review the new Freshpet fresh baked dog food, I was skeptical. I wasn’t sure if I should even try it. I decided to go ahead and received the 3 kinds of Freshpet fresh baked dog food in the mail. The Freshpet fresh baked dog food comes in fresh chicken, fresh turkey and grain-free fresh chicken.

The Freshpet baked dog food is made with wholesome, fresh ingredients. They only use fresh chicken, instead of the usual “chicken meal” that most pet foods use. The bags of food have a “fresh until” date marked on them, just like people food. Freshpet baked foods are cooked over lower temperatures to keep all the nutrients available in the food. You can tell this is a higher quality food the first time you pour some into your pet’s bowl! I was impressed to see real pieces of vegetables and fruits!

So, did my dog like it and did it aggravate his many allergies? I am happy to report that Hudson loved the taste of the food and after using it for 2 weeks, he is not scratching or chewing his skin! His coat looks fluffy and healthy and he has no hot spots or open areas! His ears are clean and healthy looking and he seems very happy! I have even noticed that he is not as hungry with Freshpet! I think it is because the food is saturated with nutrition and it is not full of fillers or extra ingredients that pets don’t need.
Freshpet Baked is found at Target stores. The large sized bag of grain free retailed for around $30.00 at my Target store, which is really a great price for such a high quality food. Does your dog have food sensitivities or allergies? Maybe Freshpet baked is the answer for you, too!
