This post is brought to you by the Elf Live App.

Every year when the holidays roll around, my Mom presents my Dad with a list of the things she most wants. And he buys them, then wraps them and puts them under the tree. She gets things she wants, but if you ask me there’s just no fun or imagination to the whole process at all. The Elf Live app would be a really fun way for her to share things she wants with my Dad, and have some plain, old silly fun.

Just released to the App Store shelf, Elf Live is a new way of letting families go paperless while still letting them get into the holiday spirit with letters to Santa. Just like its old-fashioned paper counterpart, Elf Live will get to where it needs to go. That’s right, Santa will still be able to hear from all of the boys and girls that share their wishes with him. But now, Santa will go high-tech and be able to read those wishes electronically. It’ll be much faster than paper, and think of all of the trees it can save!
Lest you think that making a list is just writing things down in that same boring way you think of making a shopping list, let me assure you that’s not the case. Elf Live is designed to be fun.

You can design your wish list any way you like. You can give it a spiffy background. You can add colorful pieces of clipart and holiday images. Then you add the things you want. ElfLive already has some of this year’s hottest gifts loaded in there. If there’s an item that you really want on your list that isn’t in the app already, you can simply upload a picture of it from your computer.

Now that you’ve created this fun collage of items you’d like for Christmas, what happens next? That’s easy. You save it and can then use it to share on social media, on sites such as Facebook and Instagram.

When you think of Santa and Christmas, chances are very strong that elves also come to mind. With ElfLive, you are able to chat with an elf in real-time. The elves can help you create your holiday wish list if you like. Or they’ll also be happy to joke and have fun singing carols with you. Within the app, the elves can help you create:
• Wishtagram – our wish list sent straight to Instagram and Santa, himself.
• Elf Name Meme – Your name, only elf-ier.
• Reindeer Meme – Your chance to discover which reindeer you’re most like.
• Digital Christmas Card – Your holiday greeting to the ones you love.

You can chat with the elves any time in between 8 am and 8 pm Pacific Time from November 27th through December 24th.

If all of those great features aren’ enough, ElfLive has something else for you – a Santa Tracker. This part of the app won’t be available to use until December 24. Once Christmas Eve has arrived, you can open up ElfLive and follow Santa along his night-long journey around the world delivering toys to children everywhere. While in the app you will not only be able to see where Santa is, but you’ll also be able to check out interviews from his flight crew and see what’s going on through the night vision Santa Cam.
Elf Live is available on iOS, Android and Nabi devices, which means that boys and girls of all ages can put together their wish list or just a fun message of love right on a tablet or mobile phone. The app can be purchased for $1.99 in the App Store or on Google Play.
Who in your family would really enjoy the ElfLive app this holiday season?
