Each year on at least one or two occasions my Mom receives a mysterious gifting from someone who signs himself as El Exigente. Of course, we know it is my Uncle having some fun. Well, the fun is starting early this year as Valentine’s Day is this coming week. While at work the other day my cell rang and I saw it was my hubby’s cell on the caller id. It turned out to be my uncle, and he was looking for names and addresses that he needed. It seems El Exigente was going to send some Valentines day gifts to some of the women in or involved with my family. For years he only “wooed” my Mom but last fall I received a surprise too, so you never know who he’s going to surprise.
My uncle doesn’t live nearby, he lives over an hour and a half away. The distance is not an issue when ordering because he does it all by phone by calling 1-800-FLOWERS. He could order the flowers online except he is a disaster with a computer, if he touches it something bad happens. They’ve always been well known for their gorgeous flowers, and they now carry plants, chocolates, sweets, teddy bears and gift baskets. I myself would just melt if roses were delivered to my work and the chocolate cheesecake were delivered to my home. If you still need to get your sweetie something, get a move on and click on over there. And one more thing. Consider sending your Mom something too.
