eKAVACH has two parts – one is an app for the parent’s phone and the other is an app for for the child’s device. Both of the apps need to be installed in order for eKAVACH to work properly. The parent’s app is where you handle all of the settings.
You can monitor how much time your child is spending online, and set a limit on the amount of screen time the child gets per day. This will help ensure that your child isn’t up all night surfing the internet, instead of getting an appropriate amount of rest
Want to ensure your child focuses on important things like study time or family gathers? You can define blocks of family time where access to the internet as well as apps will be blocked.
The parent can also enable content filtering according to the child’s age and likes. You determine what websites, games and other applications are suitable. You can allow or prevent access to websites, including social networks such as Facebook. If a child attempts to access content that you have deemed inappropriate then you will receive an alert in real-time. If there is no internet connection available you can receive the notifications by text message.
The eKAVACH parental app gives you the access at all times. If you’re at work or traveling you can still have a feeling of security knowing your child is where they are supposed to be by seeing their geographical location. Heartbeat monitoring is also available.
Children can message the parent at any time as long as they have an internet connection. If the child feels that they are in danger they can send an SOS message to you the parent, which will contain their location. This could be really useful for children that wander.
The eKAVACH application helps provide parents with a peace of mind. It also makes for a useful tool to help teach a child about technology in a way that they can enjoy the benefits as well as learn respect for possible dangers.

Hands on supervision should always be the first priority before devices that users can circumvent.
My kids are still a touch too young to start surfing the web on their own. I’ll definitely be using this when they do start surfing it on their own.
I am using an app similar to this but I will check this out as well. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Looks like a great app! I used to hate it when there was little family interaction because everyone was looking down on their phones! Now, my kids know better and they are smarter smartphone users. I will check into this app’s features and see if it would reinforce the smartphone rules we have at home.

Seems like a wonderful app for kids. My younger son is not ready for a cell phone right now but I wish they had this years ago for my twins.

It was so much easier to monitor my son back when…The Internet and cell phones were just coming vastly available – this sounds like just the thing to have!
I am all for anything that helps me in my parenting. I keep a close eye on what my kids do online but an extra set of “eyes” certainly doesn’t hurt.
this seems cool – especially if you kids at a very young age.. the net can be so crazy, its better to be safe.
