Easter Baskets Made Special And Simple With Russell Stover
Looking back over the years, Easter is a holiday that holds many memories for me. As a young child, my parents would always put together Easter baskets for each of us children. They worked hard to find the right bunnies and the right Easter candy and the right toys. Then, they’d put everything together into a basket and wrap it up for us to open on Easter morning.
Fast forward to my adult years. I have made some Easter baskets on my own. I have purchased some pre-made baskets. There’s no question about it that the baskets I made turned out better. Making your own baskets means you can customize to your child’s tastes and preferences, making the basket really special.
So what does one put into a special Easter basket? Let me share with you what went into ours this year. I chose to make one larger basket this year, containing items for both of my boys.

I got each of the boys a new pair of pj bottoms that they really like, which I lined the bottom of the basket with. Then I placed some mini trains in the basket for my youngest. For my oldest, I included a book and an iTunes gift card. And of course in the end, no basket is complete without chocolate. I included:
Russell Stover Easter Singles flavors – These handheld treats take yummy chocolate and fill it with fruity flavors like Pineapple Whip, Banana Whip, and Key Lime Whip.
Russell Stover “Dip-It” Rabbit with Skippy PB Cup – This white Dip-It Rabbit is designed to be broken apart into pieces that you can dip into the cup of creamy Skippy Peanut Butter that is included.
Russell Stover “Sayings” Premium Milk Chocolate Easter Bar – This solid chocolate bar has a cute saying on the wrapper. Ours said “Save a bunny, eat a bar.”
Russell Stover makes lots of delicious chocolates, so choosing which ones to put into a basket could be really hard work. But once you get past that task, all you need to do is include your children’s favorite things and you’ll be good to go.
You can purchase Russell Stover candy in a store in your area, or online from www.russellstover.com. You can also keep up with them on Facebook.

Which of these treats do you think you loved ones would enjoy?

  1. I love Russel Stover Candy but it is really hard to get over here in Norway! But thanks to a friend who came over both of our kids were able to get traditional chocolate bunnies for Easter. We dont really do much for Easter here in Norway as far as baskets go.

  2. I think I will agree with your youngest son–that smile says it all–that white chocolate with peanut butter has my mouth watering!!
